Services we provide

Four ways to work with a Wildflower therapist

Every service below is delivered by an independently licensed clinician. Choose the format that fits your life — or ask us and we will help you decide at your first call.

Most common

Individual Therapy

One-on-one talk therapy for adults, built around goals you set. Your therapist blends approaches such as CBT, ACT and mindfulness to fit how you actually think and live.

What is included

  • 50-minute sessions, weekly or every other week
  • A personalized plan reviewed as your goals change
  • Skills you can use between sessions, not just insight
  • Support for co-occurring substance use concerns
Trauma reprocessing

EMDR Therapy

A structured, evidence-based therapy for trauma and distressing memories. EMDR helps the nervous system finish processing what it never got to put down.

Often helpful for

  • Single-incident and repeated trauma
  • Flashbacks, nightmares and strong triggers
  • Panic, phobias and stuck grief
  • Clients who feel talked out but not better
Shared support

Group Therapy

Small, facilitated groups where you practice skills alongside people working on similar things. Often the fastest way to stop feeling like the only one.

What to expect

  • A licensed therapist facilitating every session
  • Clear ground rules around privacy and respect
  • Skill building plus real peer feedback
  • A lower-cost way to add support between sessions
Anywhere in Ohio

Telehealth Therapy

The same therapists and the same quality of care, delivered by secure video. Useful if you live outside the area, work long hours, or simply feel safer at home.

Good to know

  • Available to any Ohio resident
  • HIPAA-compliant video, no app to install
  • Most insurance plans cover telehealth sessions
  • Easy to mix in-person and online visits

Areas of focus

What we help people work through

We specialize in helping adults manage anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout and major life transitions. Below are our primary areas of focus.

Anxiety & Overwhelm

Persistent worry, racing thoughts, restlessness or trouble sleeping can make daily life feel exhausting and unmanageable. Therapy can help you:

  • Understand the root causes of anxiety
  • Learn grounding and nervous system regulation skills
  • Reduce cycles of worry using CBT and other evidence-based approaches
  • Rebuild a sense of calm, confidence and connection

Depression & Emotional Numbness

When sadness, emptiness or hopelessness takes hold, it can feel difficult to access motivation or joy. In therapy, we help you:

  • Safely explore and process heavy emotions
  • Reconnect with purpose, relationships and meaning
  • Take manageable steps toward feeling better
  • Use proven strategies to lift emotional fog

Grief & Loss

Grief may follow the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or the loss of an important role or identity. Our therapists support you as you:

  • Honor your loss without pressure to move on
  • Make space for complex emotions, including anger or relief
  • Rebuild stability after disruption
  • Move forward while holding onto meaning and memories

Trauma & Emotional Triggers

Trauma can affect how you think, feel and relate to others long after the event has passed. We offer trauma-informed care that includes:

  • A focus on safety, trust and empowerment
  • EMDR and other evidence-based trauma treatments
  • Nervous system regulation to manage triggers and reactivity
  • Support to process the past and reclaim your life

Burnout & Chronic Stress

Ongoing stress, caregiving demands, perfectionism or work pressure can leave you depleted and disconnected. Therapy can help you:

  • Understand your stress responses and patterns
  • Set boundaries without guilt
  • Reduce overwhelm with practical, sustainable strategies
  • Reconnect with your values, energy and sense of balance

Life Transitions & Uncertainty

Change, even positive change, can feel unsettling. Whether you are navigating a career shift, divorce, parenthood, relocation or identity changes, therapy helps you:

  • Process emotions tied to transition and uncertainty
  • Build resilience and emotional flexibility
  • Create clarity and structure during times of change
  • Move forward with confidence and intention

Our offices

A room that feels calm before the work begins

Therapy is easier in a space that does not feel clinical. Our Wheelersburg offices are quiet, private and comfortable, with rooms set up for both one-on-one sessions and small groups.

Individual therapy room with two leather armchairs, a painted brick fireplace and lamp light.
Individual therapy roomSoft seating, warm lamp light and a door that closes. This is where most one-on-one and EMDR sessions happen.
Small group therapy room with a round wooden table and four chairs beside a curtained window.
Group & family roomA round table and a smaller circle for group therapy, couples work and sessions that include family.

How therapy begins here

No long intake maze and no guessing what happens next. Here is the whole process.

1

Reach out

Send the contact form or call the office. Tell us briefly what is going on and when you are usually free.

2

Get matched

We pair you with the clinician whose training, availability and style fit what you are working on.

3

First session

Your therapist listens, asks questions and you leave with a working plan and your next appointment.

4

Steady work

Weekly or every-other-week sessions, reviewed together so therapy keeps pace with your life.

Our approaches

Methods with evidence behind them

Your therapist will explain what they are using and why. These are the approaches our clinicians draw from most often.

Questions

Good to know before you reach out

Who do you work with?
We work with adults 18 and older across Southern Ohio, in person in Wheelersburg and by telehealth anywhere in the state.
How long is a session, and how often will we meet?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Most people start weekly or every other week, then space sessions out as things stabilize. You and your therapist decide together.
How do I know which service is right for me?
You do not have to know. Tell us what has been happening and we will recommend individual therapy, EMDR, a group, or a combination, and adjust as we learn more.
Do you take insurance?
We are in-network with most major plans and also offer clear self-pay rates. We verify your benefits before your first session. See payment and insurance options for details.
Is telehealth as effective as meeting in person?
For most of what we treat, research shows telehealth works about as well as in-person care. Some people prefer the office, some prefer home, and many mix both.
What if I have never been to therapy before?
That is common, and it is not a problem. The first session is mostly your therapist getting to know you and explaining how the work will go. You set the pace.
Is what I say confidential?
Yes. What you share stays between you and your therapist, with narrow legal exceptions your therapist will review with you at the start of care.
