Areas of focus

What we help people work through

We specialize in helping children, teens, adults and families manage anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout and major life transitions. Below are our primary areas of focus.

Anxiety & stress

Persistent worry, racing thoughts, or trouble sleeping can wear you down. Explore the patterns behind your anxiety and practice coping skills that fit your daily life.

Depression & low mood

When energy, motivation, or connection feel out of reach, therapy offers space to understand what is happening and work toward manageable changes.

Grief & loss

Make room for loss, whether it follows a death, a relationship ending, or a major life change. Talk through complex emotions at your own pace.

Trauma & emotional triggers

Explore how past experiences affect your present. Trauma-informed care emphasizes safety, choice, and preparation, with EMDR available when it fits your needs.

Burnout & chronic stress

Work pressure, caregiving, and constant demands can leave you depleted. Identify stress patterns, practice boundaries, and reconnect with what matters to you.

Life transitions

Career changes, parenthood, divorce, and shifts in identity can bring uncertainty. Therapy offers space to sort through your feelings and decide what comes next.

Our offices

A room that feels calm before the work begins

Therapy is easier in a space that does not feel clinical. Our Wheelersburg offices are quiet, private and comfortable, with rooms set up for both one-on-one sessions and small groups.

Individual therapy room with two leather armchairs, a painted brick fireplace and lamp light.
Individual therapy roomSoft seating, warm lamp light and a door that closes. This is where most one-on-one and EMDR sessions happen.
Small group therapy room with a round wooden table and four chairs beside a curtained window.
Group & family roomA round table and a smaller circle for group therapy, couples work and sessions that include family.

Getting started

How therapy begins here

No long intake maze and no guessing what happens next. Here is the whole process.

1

Reach out

Send the contact form or call the office. Tell us briefly what is going on and when you are usually free.

2

Get matched

We pair you with the clinician whose training, availability and style fit what you are working on.

3

First session

Your therapist listens, asks questions and you leave with a working plan and your next appointment.

4

Steady work

Weekly or every-other-week sessions, reviewed together so therapy keeps pace with your life.

Our approaches

Methods with evidence behind them

Your therapist will explain what they are using and why. These are the approaches our clinicians draw from most often.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) EMDR Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) DBT-informed skills Motivational Interviewing Mindfulness & nervous system regulation Solution-Focused Brief Therapy Trauma-informed care Grief & bereavement support Co-occurring substance use support

Approaches are matched to you, not the other way around. If something is not working, say so — adjusting the plan is part of the work.

In-network with most major plans, with clear self-pay rates.

We verify your benefits before your first session so you know what a visit costs before you walk in.

Questions

Good to know before you reach out

How long is a session, and how often will we meet?
Sessions are available in 30-, 45-, and 60-minute lengths. You and your therapist decide on timing and frequency together. See session fees.
How do I know which service is right for me?
Tell us what has been happening and what you hope will change. We will help you choose a therapist and a starting point. Meet our therapists.
Do you take insurance?
We accept a range of insurance plans. Participation and your cost depend on the clinician and your specific plan. Check fees and insurance options.
What if I have never been to therapy before?
That is common, and it is not a problem. The first session is mostly your therapist getting to know you and explaining how the work will go. You set the pace.
